Dr. Shelly Noe is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP), who graduated from New Mexico State University and the University of Colorado.
Her background includes family psychiatry and substance abuse treatment. Shelly’s clinical career took her on a journey through the healthcare system, from inpatient to outpatient settings including public health, the judicial systems, and private practice. She maintains a comprehensive focus of care, including brief psychotherapy and prescribing mental health medications if indicated, for adults. She believes in the importance of well-coordinated care among providers, and strongly advocates for her patients to ensure they receive the services they need.
She is an Associate Professor and Director of the Psychiatric Mental Health DNP Program at New Mexico State University. Her expertise lies in psychopharmacology and substance abuse services. As both a clinical practitioner and professor, she has gained extensive experience delivering telehealth services and the changes in mental health services. She strives to provide individualized care and is dedicated to improving access to mental health care with nurse practitioners.
